The GLAMERS resources and tools for youth engagement in cultural institutions

The MCA GLAMERs-Workshop, held last October 6th, 2022, was organized as a single event, instead of having two separate events (addressing respectively the GLAMs and the youth associations). This decision was taken since we had the opportunity to have the support of the French Ministry of Culture, and it was more effective to merge the two events into a single one, to maximize the potential of cooperation among the participants. In any case the agenda of the event was separated in two sessions with the titles to well underline the benefits for each of the identified target groups:
– The GLAMers – resources and tools for youth engagement in GLAMs
– The GLAMers – ressources et outils pour l’implication des jeunes dans les GLAMs

After an introduction focusing on the needs of GLAMs, held by Marie-Véronique Leroi, officer at the French Ministry of Culture, who presented the activities of the French Ministry of Culture to support engagement of youth with GLAMs, Pier Giacomo Sola, project manager of the Michael Culture Association described the content of the educational platform set-up by the GLAMers project, highlighting how both GLAMs and youth can use it.
Finally, Caroline Capdepon, from the European Students’ Association for Cultural Heritage, presented the activities of ESACH to support engagement of youth with GLAMs.
