IO1 – Practices collection of digitally mediated youth engagement for GLAMs during the pandemic.

O1 – Practices of digitally mediated youth engagement for GLAMs during the pandemic.

Objective

This first project result (O1) aims to better understand how Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAMs) use digital technologies to engage with and serve the needs of young people during the pandemic. To do so, we carried out surveys and interviews with GLAM professionals, background research on the use of digital media for youth engagement, and a selection of 15 original initiatives organised byEuropean GLAMs. The long-term goal is to enhance dialogue within the cultural sector about the challenges and opportunities of using digital media to connect with young people in a time of crisis and change.

An open access publication, infographics in several European languages and public events are connected to this objective.
